At the end of March I travelled up to Newcastle, a place that holds a special place in my heart as I opened my first practice there in 1998.
Over the 5 years I practiced at the East West Medical Centre in a room that looked up to the Newcastle cathedral, I met wonderful practitioners, including the brilliant Herbalist & teacher Nancy Evelyn.
Nancy initiated an education & mentoring movement in 2018 that I’ve been part of called Estuary Learning (EL) and which aims to protect the knowledge and wisdom of natural healing.
On the weekend I was in Newcastle, EL held its 2nd annual conference & I was part of a panel discussing Nervous System support for our times. A topic relevant to so many people & so many of my patients.
How do we nourish & support our nervous systems? How do you fill your cup and be in flow to give your nervous system a break from the demands of life in 2024? It's so important to have this conversation and I find I often do this with my patients during a consultation.
The conference was great and it was really wonderful to catch up with colleagues I met many years ago & to connect with ones that I have only known via Zoom meetings & calls!
